Alien Adoption
Agency: Role-Playing - 08/16/2000 - Adopt an alien,
and let the battles begin. You need to train your new charge, and
provide him with necessary weapons and armor. There is a whole
community within the agency walls; you can gamble, fish, or play
the stock market. Get to know your fellow aliens as you fight your
way to number one.
Mida$: Simulation - 08/15/2000 - How rich do you want
to be? In
Midas$, the player with the most money wins. Travel to Jottonia
and play the Jottonian Stock Exchange. Like any stock exchange,
prices fluctuate for many reasons--from a country's economic situation
to other investors buying and selling. How savvy are
you?
Soccersim.com: Sport - 08/10/2000 - Manage your own soccer
team.
This simulation allows you to run a team, and if you are one of the best,
you can compete in a fantasy version of the UEFA Cup or the TOTO
cup. You can compete with up to 1,000 other players. This game
is still in beta.
Tyrannus: Strategy - 08/10/2000 - This galaxy is ruled
by two ancient
civilizations: the Caretakes and the Overseers. You join the game as a
young race striving to reach ascension, but the Overseers have decided
that natural selection is the best method for weeding out races not quite
ready to ascend. Once you reach this new plane, you will battle to
reach an even higher plateau.
College Basketball: Sport - 08/08/2000 - Coach a college
basketball
team. All the players are computer-generated fictitious guys, so don't
try to draft this season's most promising NCAA candidates. Get to
know the players in the simulated league, and use your leadership skills
to lead the team to victory. The registration and activation
process is a bit tedious.
Safe Cracker: Board/Card/Puzzle - 08/02/2000 - Tell Freddy
which
numbers to use in order to crack the safe. You can choose the combo
size, number range, accuracy, and the loot you are trying to get
at.
20 Questions: Misc. - 07/21/2000 - You probably played
this as a
kid at a birthday party or in the car to pass the time. Now you can
think of an object and see if the computer can guess the object in
20 questions. It may not be as fun as tormenting your little brother
with false answers, but it still passes the time.
Imperial
Conflict: Strategy - 07/21/2000 - It is the year 3006,
and you are ruler of your own empire. You can choose between
three races: Partaxian (the magically gifted), Wardancers
(the warrior class), or Quantam (the scientists and engineers).
At first, your planet is unexplored and underdeveloped, but you
will have the resources you need to get started. You'll get to know
your allies, who can help you get familiarized with the territory
and the global situation. The chat and transactions at the market
are in real time. This is not a game that will be won in one sitting.
One week in the game is one hour in real life.
Lozenge and Hampshire: The Case of the Dead Person:
Adventure - 07/20/2000 - There has been a murder. Help Hampshire
and Lozenge search out the victim and the person responsible for
killing him. The two detectives are English, and there's no shortage
of witty British comments. I'm sure Sherlock Holmes is rolling in
his grave! Click on everything.
Small World Golf: The Majors: Sport - Prize - 06/15/2000
- This is
your chance to captain your own professional golf team. You start
with $4 million, build the best team golf has to offer, create your
own division, and convince your friends to play in it. The season's top
captains will win prizes; the grand prize is a trip to the 2001
American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe,
NV. Small World provides all the information you will need to play,
including the real-world player statistics.

-
Play tic-tac-toe against the crazy-colored egg, and see if you can
make him crack.
Froggy Racing: Racing - 04/19/2000 - Bet points--not
money or
even kisses--on racing froggies with clever names like Betty Croaker.
I guess you can kiss the winner if you want to, but it's not a
requirement.
Astronest: Strategy - 04/17/2000 - Here's an RTS game
that doesn't
require you to download, buy, or plug in anything. This graphically
enhanced web game lets you play with (or conquer and destroy) up
to 20,000 other players from all over the world for free. Create your
character from among four different alien races, each with their own
strengths and weaknesses, and develop your armies on your own
colony planet. There are many topics to research and employ, auctions
to attend, ships to design, and wars in which to participate. Each turn is
five minutes long, and turns are given on a real-time basis at the same
rate to all players, so come back often to help your colony to
flourish.
Solar Empire: Action - 04/06/2000 - Would you like to
rule the galaxy?
Who wouldn't? Sign up to pilot a merchant freighter; it's your first step
to ruling the roost. This game is all about combat, so if you love to
attack
everyone that dares cross your path, check this out.
Monarchy: Strategy - 04/04/2000 - Chaos in the heavens
has started a
holy war, and everyone must take sides. As a lady or lord, you strive to
create a powerful, reputable kingdom. You will also need to pick a faith
and pledge loyalty to one God. Step into the fantasy.
Netropolis: Strategy - 04/03/2000 - To be in business,
you have to be willing
to take risks and swim with the sharks. If you succeed, a pot of gold is
waiting
for you on the other side, or so we like to think. Netropolis thrusts
you into
the business world with a bit of money, and requires you to make something
of yourself. It is very realistic. Will you sink or
swim?
Sunday Stumper: Board/Card/Puzzle - Prize - 04/03/2000
- Each week, you
will find a new word search, a complete-the-cartoon game, or an equally
fun Archie puzzle. Send in your solution, and you might win an Archie
T-shirt!

of trivia and community. Ingredients: meet new people, share common
interests, answer questions, and add a pinch of RPG
gameplay.
Solitary
Confinement: Board/Card/Puzzle - 03/07/2000 - Good
old solitaire. You can play for the highest score of all time, chat with
other solitaire fanatics, and of course, attempt to beat this
classic time waster.
Movie
Boss: Simulation - 03/06/2000 - Do you love going to
the movies? T0
hink you could run a movie theatre chain better than the next guy?
