| 3/28/04 | Biggest update since the beginning of this site begins today. Because of several factors (my procrastination earlier being a major one) this update will probably be drawn out over several weeks. At the end, you can expect a much improved Viper Studios. To begin with, this page will now fully detail all updates, not the main page. That space will now be reserved for an editorial type section that I will attempt to update on a weekly basis. Two new authors have been added, the much (and rightfully so!) celebrated Ken Colwell and the equally talent (but in a different fashion) Ben Drum. Also to go up are original song lyrics by Ben, artwork by newcomer GnomeyG, and song lyrics to several songs that have caught my ear over the last few months. In addition, the user-submitted links page is going to be shot, along with several other needless frills. At some point, I will be uploading one or two live recordings from coffeehouse. (And no, that will not include the most recent one. I have yet to obtain a recording of it...a little bird told me I might forfeit my life if I seriously attempted such an undertaking. Maybe, though...maybe.) Regardless, I think you'll enjoy all the new stuff. As always, your comments are welcomed and encouraged. However, know that any dead links over the next few weeks are probably intentional...I'll post when I think I've caught them all and would like you, my hordes of minions, to begin searching for them. |
| 3/1/04 | I swear, this is the last time I'll have to apologize for this late update...I am quite dumb at times, it would seem. I left all the files on "my" laptop, figuring I would be able to update them at some point over christmas break or right afterwards. Then I loaned the laptop to my mother and haven't gotten access to it again. And then my mail server that stores all teh submissions seemingly crashed. That wouldn't have been a problem if it weren't coupled with me having fewer than 4 waking hours at home for the last two weeks (and these have been devoted to more pressing matters.) I abosolutely promise, promise, promise that as soon as this play is over (did I not mention that's where I've been most of the time? I'm serving and a semi-key member of the fly crew. Pretty good at it, too, if I do say so myself) and the server's back up, I'll pull a late night/early morning and get it all up. I should have several peices of artwork, writings from over 4 months, and a post-oscar summery ready for y'all. At the absolute latest, I intend to do a total site overhaul over spring break. I'll have a good week with nothing better to do. (haha...as if...but I'll make time.) Once again, my apologies and my thanks for your patients. |
| 12/24/03 | Merry Christmas Everyone! That said, I feel the need to apologize to several of you. I had promised I would make an update before I left for my Christmas Holiday. Well...this is an update. Its just the stuff that should be going up right now...isn't. Basically, I screwed up. I was forced to spend the entire day with the family and have had no chance to do any work. Yeah, this is what comes of procrastination. I will be taking my laptop with me when I leave tomorrow, so there is some hope I'll manage to put the wonderful things up that I've been sent, but who really knows. So to Quint, and Nekken, and Morgan, and Brian, and Pusha, sorry...It will go up sometime, just I have no idea when. Probably by the 6th of next year, but honestally, I'm not really sure. Hope y'all enjoy your christmas, if you need to talk to me, try emailing me or catching me if I come on aim, though that isn't likely. Merry Christmas and a happy New year! |
| 10/22/03 | What do ya know...I'm making an update! Not only that, it's a BIG update! With lots of new things! Because I'm trying new things, all the new stuff will be listed here from now on. And yeah, I'm sure there are new dead links. I'm moving things around, so there will continue to be some for a while. |
| 8/4/2003 | HAHA! I actually put up most of what I said I would put up. :D I think I also got most of the dead links fixed...if you find one, kindly drop me an email or IM. Many new songs are up, including: You Don't Care by Karina Perez; Give and Take by Jake H.; When Things Fall Apart by Rob Chaytor; and She's an Angel, Let Me Know, Girl, and Scared, all by Jordan. The new writings are comprised of Awaken by Alex Castillo and An Extinguished Yearning by Clyde (yes, it is actually up this time :D). Also, SuzyQ has some new art up. I beleive there is some art by Quintessence that I haven't scanned yet and several other artists have spoken to me about getting work on the site. All very cool. Under the art section is a link to a friend of mine's site, Nancy. She is an incredible artist and I highly reccomend you pop on over to her site if you have time. I also will put some of her banners up, I think. If you want me to link to your site, drop me a line, I'd probably go for it (assuming your site interests me ;D). The Bad news: I finally took a look at the user links section and it is gonna die for now...too many porn ads. Likewise, the guestbook will not be accepting any new entries for a while. An idea of what might come in the future: a totally new layout, powered by either a blog system that will be easier to update or perhaps php. Or, if the totally cool happens, I'll actually get around to writing that script to automate the site, making your work actually get up in a timely fashion. I also will be moving some stuff to a different domain to deal with lack of space, so just ignore what pops up as the url. http://www.evula.org/viper37 will remain the main portal to the site. That's the one to bookmark, too. ;D |
| 7/21/03 | Nothing new is actually up today, sadly. I have quite lyrices by jordan that I should have up, I've just been to busy to actually do so. I'll work on that whenever I have time...hopefully soon. |
| 7/12/03 | One new work up today, and no new artwork. I will hopefully get that art up within a month tops, but there's no telling how long it might take to actually scan it and put it up here. Clyde wrote a reflective rant titled "An Extinguished Yearning". Working on finding a decent replacement for the userlinks and guestbook sections. I'll let ya know when I do. |
| 6/30/03 | Two new works for your reading pleasure today, consisting of a review of Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle by Scott, of course and a new song titled "Dripping Tears" by Jake Trowbridge. I should have some new art by Quintessence later this week, and maybe some new art by a new artist late next week (hopefully...). The Guestbook and User Links scripts are down until I find a successful way to prevent spamming. |
| 6/23/03 | Well, I'm back from my week of no computer access, and I got some new things for you. Scott wrote a new rant covering just about anything (including the new Harry Potter book) in My Soapbox, Vol. 1. Cameron has some new song lyrics up. The title is "Torn". Sadly, a load of pictures I was supposed to have gotten weeks ago won't be coming till mid-to-late august. Apparently, the artist scanned them, put them on a computer, and forgot the computer was being moved across the country the next day. Strange? Most definately. :P Anyhow, I'll see what I can do to speed up their recovery and add more new stuff to the site. Merci! (oh, dig the fran¨ais :D) |
| 6/12/03 | This is more of a news update than a content update. Only new stuff you'll see here is some fixed links and other little things that are probably unnoticable unless you've been over this site quite carefully. However, back to the news part. Starting Friday June 13 (hopefully not an unlucky day for me...) and lasting till about Saturday June 20th, I'll be completely out of touch. There will be no updates and I won't be able to respond to either aim or email. If you have some pressing question, you can try refering it to Scott (his contact information is availible on the Bios page) but don't expect him to answer too much, he'll be rather busy this week. | 6/7/03 | Compared to the last one, this update is rather minor. Few more writings added and some dead links fixed. My Main Man by Rosanna Krich, The Last of the Manarethen by Icebird, some incredible new art by SuzyQ, a few new peices by Rosanna Krich, and a new song called Thorn In My Side by Jessykah Roberts. Over the next two months I'm gonna go over the entire site with a fine tooth comb (figuratively speaking, of course) and update all those little things that need updating. And yeah, I may even spell check some stuff here and there :D |
| 5/28/03 | Go figure. Just when I think I make a major update, I go and make a bigger one. For the first time in ages, there are more things new than I want to name. There are tons and tons of new writings by Rosanna Krich and a new sonnet by Clyde. (I also updated the entire writings index page, found here.) Also, there are a great many more song lyrics and a new lyrics index page. Due to popular demand and me getting behind again (as always) there are several parts that are still incomplete. Read: yeah, I know about the dead links and will fix 'em sometime when I actually have time. Unfortunately, that time is not now. So enjoy the new, and keep waiting for the rest of it (there's more to put up sitting on my harddrive...maybe sometime in the next 2 to 3 weeks I'll get it up....I'm really busy at the moment, so there. | 5/21/03 | I made a rather major update for the site today. First, the review for Matrix Reloaded by movie master Scott, a new color picture by Quintessence, two new writings by Rosanna Krich: Peaceful Mourning and Breathe With Me. Finally, I put up three new songs by Cameron: Trust In Me, Valerie, and Victimize. I'm gonna be rather busy with other things for the next week to a month, but after that time I should have quite a few new writings, a ton of art, and maybe even a sneak peak of something special to come in the future...more on that later. ;D |

| 4/22/03 | Some varied new things today. A new rant about calling french things (and franch) freedom by Clyde, a movie review of "A Man Apart" aswell as two new songs by Jordan: Mexico and Where Were You?. Also, a new song by Adam: Tries Too HardVarious other small improvements made. I think that most of the links and whatnot work again. Not really sure though. :D All repair work should be done within 1-2 weeks of today. Would be sooner, but I'm a buys guy. For the near future, you can look forward to some new art and maybe some more reviews. For those of you with some free time, head over to the forum and post something. Maybe your thoughts on the site, comments on something written, a rant about how much you hate my typos, basically, anything but links to those pathetic porn sites. :D |
| 4/18/03 | Another rapid update as I try to finish repairs to the site. This time, I updated the bios section and fixed a few minor link problems. I'm gonna go through and fix other misc. errors later this weekend. I also should have at least one new peice of art for you to feast your eyes on, more if I can get the scanner workin right. And the bios section should be made more complete in the near future, so stay tuned. |
| 4/15/02 | After a short period of not being able to upload anything (the server was full...check out the EVula.org forum for details) I've got some stuff up that shoulda gone up long ago. New art by Quintessence combined with two new movies reviews by Scott: Gerry and Fight Club. I also added a section that is under developement, personal bios of Viper Studios people. This section may get scratched or not depending on how popular it is. :D I'm still doing some construction so please forgive any bad links that are up right now. Thanks! |
| 4/13/03 | NOTE: I'm making some repairs to the site right now. Quite a few links have probably gone dead and more will before I'm through. Also, some pages may look a little strange. As for good news, today i put up 4 new peices of art by SuzyQ and yesterday I added two new peices of writing. Bridesmaids by Kate LaKimbo and No Trust, No Lust by Jake Trowbridge. Also, I finaly got the news back from the literary magazine I submitted work to about a month ago...and 4 of my peices were accepted. :D (though one might not make it to the final draft, but I'm still happy ;D). The works were Rat Race, Life and Death, Dreams, and The Wise. (Civilization was published in last years issue of the same magazine) I've decieded to rearrange some things so that now all my work will be in my directory, so as to make it obvious its mine. It will be located here. Also, I should have a review by Scott of Fightclub up in the near forward. This and more little goodies for you to look forward to. Enjoy! |

If by some freak chance the spam entries in the guestbook are actually legit, I request that whomever posted them email me. If I deleted yours by mistake, sorry, but I hate spam. :P Other than that, not much goin on. Should have some more art soon as well as some movie reviews and such. |

It has been brought to my attention that several of the new entries may be nothing more than ads submitted by a program similar to the ones that help dig email addresses out of source code. | 2/8/03 | By request, a link has been added to the offical site forum. It can be found here. Added a few things today. Some incredible new artwork by Quintessence is the big one. Also put up some Nine Days Lyrics and a mp3 of myself messin' around on the guitar I also fixed a few typos and stuff, and yeah, I know there are a few I missed. I will not be updating the site much for a week or two starting friday the 21. If you have anything you want up before than, be sure to submit it by thursday night...after that, you will probably have to wait a while. The stuff from the last update includes The Year In Movies by Scott, the Viper Studios movie resident movie guru is now up. New lyrics by Youneque, her song Mislead and Nina for "Smokin Da Herb". My new works have all been submited to the literary magazine, though I haven't put any of 'em up yet...I've been far too busy. I'll try and do that sometime soon I'll be sure to notify you all with which (if any :D ) get accepted. |

Also, I put up some Unwritten Law lyrics for your reading pleasure. That's all for a short while though I may have some more art, rants, and that daredevil review shortly. |
| 2/16/03 | First new writing in a while added today. Its a sorta poem by Infini-T-e. I highly reccomend you take a look at Now You're Gone. It is both uplifting and saddening at the same time. I also have a new rant about religion by Clyde I should have some more music lyrics (Unwritten Law, some more Eve 6 and anything else that strikes my fancy) and some more rants up withing a few days. |

| 1/26/03 | New stuff and things soon to come: I've added a random quote generator at the bottom of each page and a few hundred quotes. I plan on setting up a easy way for people to submit their own quotes later. Also new is the user defined link page. Its a page, similar to a guestbook, where users can submit links and have them instantly added to the page. It can be found here. I also added a random link script as well as a full fledged guest book. Please send me your comments on these changes, the feedback will help me determine wich of these features to keep and which are just lame. Thanks! |
| 1/17/03 | This is the first big update in at least a month and a half. New writings are up, the first of the artwork has been uploaded as has the first rant, some new audio, and another html guide. I should have some rants soon as well as some other little goodies, but these will be surprises. |
| 1/14/03 | I must apologize for my long absence. After a wonderful vacation, I'm back and working hard (well, not hard, but I AM working) to put up some new and cool stuff to appease you all. Quintessence has scaned and given me some sketches; they will be up soon. I also have some new audio and a few writings sitting in my mail box to load sometime soon. I plan on doing all this in 3-20 days, depending on how hectic life is. Keep sending in those submissions, eventually, I will put them up. :D |
| 12/14/02 | Well, much has been done in the last few weeks. The frames index was scrapped for the simple reason that several browers couldn't open it and there were problems with people coming into the site from some page other than the main index. The current setup seems to be working well, so I'll keep it for a while :D. Many updates have occured, and many more should be occuring soon. The review section now has some reviews, several new authors have been added, song lyrics were added, an audio section was added (mostly just ot highlight Hedgehog's acting talent) and an art section and more writings should be coming soon. And last be not least, the offical public forums have been set up over at http://www.forums.evula.com Just scroll down till you see the Viper Studios one, under the heading of EVula.org Forums. More to come soon! |
| 11/27/02 | After procrastinating for over a month, I actually did some work on the site. I revamped the frames index (it actually works now) and added some more writing. Soon, I'm going to replace the main index with the frames one. That won't happen till I'm sure I got all the many bugs out. Stay tuned for more updates. |
