Another Word, More Organized This Time

And again I talk about religion. No hasty trying to sound less offensive. IF you find this offensive, you're the one with the problem this time, because you just have a problem with basic human reason and common sense. *Ahem*
Recently a person considered Christianity. But she was unsure, because it meant giving up what her family held dear. And who wouldn't be a trifle uncertain about that? But then this neo-evangelist nitwit said she shouldn't hesitate. "But our customs and traditions..." she began. This got cut off. He asked her to name one. She named one involving a burial rite. And he said, aloud, "That seems pointless. Why do you do that? Do the dead need money in heaven?" And in his voice and face, the words clearly spelled out, "You idiot, that's stupid."
And a new one of his converts added, "Just because you believe in something doesn't mean it exists." Now I was about to say that that endangered her argument just as much as the other girl's, but then she said, "No, we have the Bible, so we know ours to be right. And no one can disprove it."
Okay, just a slight problem here. A small one. Sorry to say it, but nobody aside from Christians give a bloody shit about the Bible and what it says. Quoting biblical verses gets you nowhere when trying to convert the majority of people. Why? They have their own set of beliefs that are supposed to be true. And Christians don't seem to give a bloody shit about the Koran or Rig Veda. Why should they care about ours? Because ours is RIGHT? Does ANYone expect them to think along those lines?
I must say, this guy's just gonna succeed in making enemies and creating hostility with his current methods. Any valid point he might make is lost due to the sheer volume of his condescencion. Slander your fellow man, that'll make them like what you say. Of course. It's SO obvious. If you start nodding your head because of those last two sentences, I swear I will sock you.
How do you get people to join your faith? Um, example's a great way. It helps you make sure you're doing the right thing, plus other people admire you and, um...wait, quote from the Beatitudes: "All will see the good deeds you do, and give praise to your father on high," or something like that. So all those literalists out there, take that into account. And if you really just wanna talk, then appeal to their common sense and reason. Because this method I've seen shows a serious common sense deficiency, among other things.
And while I'm so pissed, let me say this would be the guy who says, "I never will laugh at your faith like you have at mine. I'm the good guy, you're the cynical one." This is also the guy who laughs and calls Catholicism weird and stupid whenever I ask him. Just goes to show what a perfect evangelist he's being. He'll probably think himself to be a martyr and witness to God if people start to get angry at him and ignore him.
And if that werent' enough, a girl who is a very devouted Christian tells him to respect other people's cultures. And he gets disappointed because he thinks her perception of the truth is skewed. He says, "I simply cannot accept what they say as the truth, because it's not right." SO DON'T, YOU ASS, BUT DON'T ACT LIKE THEY HAVE NO VALUE. If I said that, he'd laugh and say, "But they don't."
And that is when I'd say what I'll say to anybody else like him, thereby summarizing this redundant rant: "You know, you can just go cram that poor, suffering, self-righteous shit of yours up your ass, and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest."
And if that gets the girl (who happens to be a good friend) he converted mad at me, and if that gets others mad at me, making me a depressed outcast to my own friends, so be it. I might just decide to say that I'm being martyred and call it even.
