We should care about them
Small ones who remain shadowed
Often beaten and battled
Inside they stand out
Inside their souls cry out
For recognition
Congratulations
Who stand in the spotlight
And make others push and fight
For their right, to shine so bright
We must ask one question
When will the pettiness end
Look further than exterior
Surpass the usual superior
Opens your eyes, open your mind
Don't keep your thoughts wrapped in a bind
Inside everyone is a shining star
Some just need an extra chance to shine as far
Everyone needs that extra chance
Everyone needs that second glance
Stand corrected
